We all have heard about wearing layers of clothing and how this helps regulate sweat and temperature but how many of us really understand how to get the best out of this and just end up wearing two sweaters or multiple t-shirts to try and keep warm - I know I am guilty of this and that it rarely ends up being comfortable. Patagonia, the developers of this concept over 20 years are continually researching and developing new materials and products which they will explain to us over the course of an occasional short series of articles starting with the base layer.
